INFORMATION
Visa and
Travel Procedures
Students/ visitors can get to Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by air or sea travel. All flights to Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are connected through Turkey. This means even the final
destination is TRNC all flights first stop at Turkey. There are regular flights
from the major cities in Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya) to
TRNC that only take between 75 to 45 minutes journey time.
Visa applications should be done either to TRNC
Representative Office (http://www.trncinfo.com)
or to Turkish Embassy / Consulate
(http://www.mfa.gov.tr)
in your country. The tuition fee stated on the acceptance letter has to be paid
first before applying for the visa. A copy of the payment bank decont should be
submitted to the Registrar’s Office for a confirmation of your acceptance to be
sent to the Turkish / TRNC Embassy in your country.
Residence permit for the first time necessary documents:
1- Student Certificate (2008-2009)
2- Immigration Fees: For 1 Year 56 YTL
3- Original Health Reports: For Newly Registered
Students (blood tests and Lung X-Ray)
4- Original Passport and photocopy of the relevant
pages. (First Page (with photo), the page that show expiring date, information
page)
5- Brand Stamp valued 6.00 YTL
6- 1 Passport size photograph
7- Dormitory record sheet (which is living in
dormitory)
If your health reports are incomplete or you do
not have any, then the local governor will send you to the state hospital for
medical tests. It may take 5-6 days to get the results
Residence Permit Renewal Procedures
Apart from health report and photograph, all other
documents should be submitted to Students Services Office in person for the
renewal. If all the required documents are ready, the residence permit can be
immediately.

Angola
:
Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter
Turkey.
Azerbaijan:
Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels to
Turkey up to 30 days. Official passport holders are exempt from visa requirement
for their travels up to 90 days.
Bulgaria:
Diplomatic and service
passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days. Ordinary
passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6
months starting from the first entry date.
Georgia:
Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up
to 90 days.
Kazakhstan:
Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up
to 30 days.
Kenya:
Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official
passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
Sri
Lanka: Ordinary and
official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.
Ukraine:
Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can
obtain three month-multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates and stay in
Turkey up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.
Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days
Syria:Ordinary
and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travel up to 90
days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.
Saudi
Arabia : Ordinary and
official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official
passport holders are obliged to get their visas from the Turkish diplomatic
representations abroad. Ordinary passport holders can obtain their sticker type
visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.
Oman
: Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are
exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days
Libya
: Ordinary and official
passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.
Lebanon
: Ordinary and official
passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.
Kuwait
: Official passport
holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey and they can obtain their
sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.
Kyrgyzstan
: Ordinary and official
passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.
Iran
: Ordinary and official
passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
Egypt
: Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are
exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
Nigeria
: Ordinary and official
passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. **Nigerians required
to obtain a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) visa before they travel
to North Cyprus. TRNC visa should be obtained from either the TRNC Consulate in
Abu Dhabi, UAE, or the TRNC Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.
Pakistan
:Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are
exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days
Palestine:
: Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Only diplomatic passport
holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.
Uzbekistan
: Ordinary passport
holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels to Turkey up to 30
days. Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels to
Turkey up to 90 days.
Bahrain
: Official passport
holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey and they can obtain their
sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.
Bangladesh
:Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are
exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
Ghana
:Ordinary and official
passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.
Jordan
:Diplomatic, official
and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with
touristic purposes and transit to/from Turkey up to 90 days within six
months,starting from the first entry date. Diplomatic and official passport
holders, who are appointed to the diplomatic, consular missions or
representationsof international organizations accredited in Turkey, are exempted
from visa for the period of their assignments. Truck and bus drivers and
co-drivers, crew members of civil aeroplanes,trains and ships, engaged in
international transport of goods and passengers,are exempted from visa for their
travels and transit to/from Turkey, up to 90 days within six months, strating
from the first entry date.
Mauritius
:Ordinary passport
holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain one month
multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates. Official passport holders are
exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.
United
Arab Emirates :Official
passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary
passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport
holders can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon
their arrival..
